Apocalypse NOW! Hmmm. Okay, NOW! No, wait. . . NOW!
Today at the cutting edge of almost every science they seem to be teetering on the verge of complete redefinition and, for mankind, I find the most exciting part is that its newest research is revealing truth in its oldest beliefs. That may sound like an exaggeration to those less aware of the parallels, but it’s really not. For instance, I assure you it’s no coincidence that the Higgs boson - something the physicists at the Large Hadron Collider are setting out to find - is nicknamed the “God Particle”.
Since the pitting of science against spirituality is a battle that many are still heavily, heavily vested in, I can only imagine what it must be like for experts on both sides of the argument to struggle with the uncanny parallels their fields seem to share after all. And with such powerful corporations at the helm of most scientific research nowadays - having perfected the art of making money off its findings - it’s also easy to see why researchers who acknowledge this correlation and challenge old modalities are drummed out and marginalized so quickly. Still, the numbers of these castaway researchers are mounting. This excites me and I especially see hope in the field of physics, which seems a lot more forgiving of this science/spirit murkiness right now than any other science. Having said that, and considering that pretty much every other science is ultimately subject to the laws of physics, I think the potential findings at the LHC (which was finally switched on today) could vindicate a lot of these castaways and put them at the forefront of their respective fields in a relatively short amount of time. Of course, if that happens it would essentially turn our world upside-down and inside-out, but… whatever. We’re fucking the planet upside-down and inside-out so quickly, I think the world as we know it is doomed anyway.
In every facet of existence we are living so ridiculously out of sync with our planet that it’s just sheer stupidity to assume we can keep riding it out. I’m convinced that, very soon, we’re in for a surprise. Up will be down, black will be white and a whole shitload of truths are going to come to the surface faster than we can hold accountable those who kept them from us in the first place. Pacification was nice, but it won’t be an option for much longer. It’s the Apocalypse… and it is coming! Hell, it’s already here, but it’s just beginning to gain momentum! Soon no amount of ignorance, consumerism or pop-culture distraction is going to shield you from it either! Nobody escapes!
Whoa, whoa, whoa!
Apocalypse? Exactly what the fuck am I talking about?
Apocalypse (Greek: Ἀποκάλυψις Apokálypsis; “lifting of the veil”) is a term applied to the disclosure to certain privileged persons of something hidden from the majority of humankind. Today the term is often used to refer to the end of the world, which may be a shortening of the phrase apokalupsis eschaton which literally means “revelation at the end of the age”.
So, from a literal standpoint it doesn’t have to be that scary.
I don’t think the Apocalypse has much to do with religion either. That’s not to say it should be taken lightly - no, not at all. I think it has everything to do with spirituality, but I just don’t like the role religion tries to play in that. I have no respect for dogmatic rhetoric and I find personal consciousness expansion to be the key. I am every bit the heretic I always have been and my stance remains that most of the religion practiced today is disgustingly corrupt and infused with ego, the very thing at the core of our demise. True spirituality transcends that nonsense and is something I’ve found consciousness expansion to inherently (and unexpectedly in my case) assist in aligning oneself with. That being said, I was also surprised by the full, clear perspective and sincere respect it gave me for the undeniable significance of the Bible. Where the locals may get their panties in a bunch is when I say that the same goes for other ancient texts as well.
We are one. Get over it.
Anyway… biblically, scientifically, politically, environmentally, for better or for worse, how ever you see the future unveiling, it’s poised to throw a knock out punch to your reality and it won’t be one you can dodge or have someone else absorb for you. Whether looking at it in fear, anticipation or complete denial, the Apocalypse is coming… and it’s highly personal.
“For a conservative mind, that might look like Doomsday, but it isn’t Doomsday. It’s simply that we are moving deeper and deeper into uncharted territory - novel territory - and that’s frightening to some people and exhilarating to others.” -Terence McKenna
